项目介绍
From 2031, Jupiter and its icy moons will be studied by two large spacecraft: ESA’s Jupiter Icy Moon Explorer (Juice) and NASA’s Europa Clipper. The KTH Space and Plasma Physics division is involved in the Ultraviolet Spectrograph (UVS) instruments on both missions and the Radio and Plasma Wave Instrument (RPWI) on Juice. The tasks of this position will be studies of Jupiter’s magnetosphere and the large Galilean moons, in preparation for the measurements of the large missions. In the project, data from space telescopes and archival spacecraft data will be utilized with the aim to characterize the moons atmospheres and plasma interactions in the magnetosphere.
The Postdoc will mainly work with data analysis and interpretation of the results, as well as presentation of the results in scientific papers and at conferences. A certain amount of teaching can also be included, e.g. supervision of Master thesis projects or leading exercises or workshops in Master courses.
