项目介绍
Are you looking to dive into the world of CO2 capture, utilization (PtX) and storage? Then seize this opportunity to do a PhD at DTU in an ambitious and rapidly growing research environment.
Conventional CO2 capture technologies are very energy intensive, requiring large amounts of green energy to contribute to a net-zero scenario. New, more energy efficient candidate technologies such as electrochemical CO2 capture show great potential to reduce the energy consumption. We are working on the cutting edge with these topics at DTU Chemical Engineering (AT-CERE), and we need clever and capable PhD student to accelerate this development further.
Responsibilities and qualifications
A PhD at DTU Chemical Engineering performs a wide range of activities:
- Working in the field on experimental CO2 capture, utilization and storage plants
- Doing experiments in the lab
- Performing literature studies
- Data analysis
- Writing scientific papers
You will work together with other PhD students, researchers and technicians, all focused on the same overall goals as you. Essential expertise includes:
- A Master degree in chemical engineering or similar
- Knowledge of conventional CO2 capture technologies
- Experience with modelling of chemical engineering systems
- Structured approach to work tasks
- Attention to detail in reporting
- Ability to self-manage and work independently as well as ability to plan and execute complex tasks and to engage constructively in a large, international and cross-disciplinary environment.
- Good English communication skills, spoken and written.
You must have a two-year master’s degree (120 ECTS points) or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a two-year master’s degree.
