PhD scholarship in Adaptive Restorative XR

项目介绍

Do you want to develop immersive systems that respond to how people feel and behave? We are looking for a PhD candidate to investigate adaptive restorative XR at the intersection of HCI, machine learning, biosensing, and accessibility. You will design and evaluate trustworthy, interpretable XR experiences in a joint DTU-KTH project with co-supervision and extended research stays at KTH.

Responsibilities and qualifications
Your overall focus will be to develop and evaluate human-state-aware XR environments that support stress recovery and well-being. You will combine system development, multimodal user-state modelling, interaction design, and empirical evaluation.

  • Prototype adaptive and accessible restorative XR environments.
  • Model user state from physiological and behavioural signals and design interpretable adaptations.
  • Conduct laboratory studies and longer-term field deployments.
  • Collaborate with KTH through shared studies, publications, and approximately 12 months of research stays.
  • has a strong background in computer science, HCI, XR, machine learning, or a related field;
  • has programming/prototyping experience and interest in empirical user research; and
  • can work independently in an international research collaboration.

You must have a two-year master’s degree (120 ECTS points) or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a two-year master’s degree.
