项目介绍
This PhD opportunity is dedicated to uncovering novel network attacks targeting the latest Internet applications and developing effective countermeasures. Today’s Internet is not strictly speaking a “safe” place. New attacks on connected infrastructures are reported daily, leading to loss of connectivity, reduced performance, or violation of privacy. Thus, identifying and patching new attacks before malicious actors can exploit them has become more crucial than ever.
Project description
We focus on the following areas:
- Network Security for Blockchains
Explore novel techniques to secure blockchain technology and distributed ledger systems. This includes developing secure protocols, analyzing vulnerabilities in decentralized networks, and improving scalability while maintaining security and privacy standards. - Applied AI for Network Security
Investigate how artificial intelligence and machine learning can be applied to detect, prevent, and respond to network security threats. Projects in this area may involve anomaly detection, automated threat analysis, and intelligent intrusion prevention systems. - Network Security for AI
Focus on securing AI models from network-based threats. This includes protecting AI communications from interception or tampering, defending against adversarial attacks that exploit network vulnerabilities, and ensuring the privacy of sensitive data used in AI training and inference. The aim is to build resilient AI systems that can withstand evolving network threats.
