Doctoral student in smart and resilient microgrids

项目介绍

Project description

Third-cycle subject:  Electrical Engineering

As a promising smart grid technology, microgrid has attracted great attention in the modern grid for the renewable energy integration as well as the transportation electrification. The microgrid is a typical cyber-physical system with sophisticated software-based control and communication networks, which are vulnerable under cyberattacks. Moreover, microgrid is a power converter dominated grid, which suffers low inertia and stability challenges. This PhD project aims to utilize artificial intelligence methods (e.g., deep reinforcement learning) and data with advanced control methods to develop smart and resilient microgrids with guaranteed stability, security and resilience under various cyberattacks and disturbances. The method will also be extended for large scale grids. This project is funded by WASP.

Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP) is Sweden’s largest individual research program ever, a major national initiative for strategically motivated basic research, education and faculty recruitment.  The vision of WASP is excellent research and competence in artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and software for the benefit of Swedish society and industry. The graduate school within WASP is dedicated to provide the skills needed to analyze, develop, and contribute to the interdisciplinary area of artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and software. Through an ambitious program with research visits, partner universities, and visiting lecturers, the graduate school actively supports forming a strong multi-disciplinary and international professional network between PhD-students, researchers and industry.
