The Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology is the world-leading centre for research in the process industries and covers a broad range of topics, including healthcare, sustainability, energy, and materials. Individual academics offer a broad range of topics.
The specifics of any project will dictate the activities of the student. This can be molecular biology through to quantum mechanics. Please consult our Research Groups page for further information.
Research within the Department covers a wide and exciting array of activities ranging from quite fundamental research in biology through to the traditional fields of chemical engineering.
