About the project and position
Perhaps one of the most striking features of the mammalian brain is its anatomical complexity, composed of many more neuronal cell types than the rest of the body combined. The recent development of genetic tools targeting particular neuronal subtypes by our laboratory and others has enabled the direct interrogation of their role in circuit dynamics.
We offer a 4-year postdoctoral position with the opportunity to take advantage of such novel subtype-specific genetic tools to dissect the circuit mechanisms of learning and memory in the entorhinal-hippocampal loop. We will use these tools to examine information transfer through these structures during memory formation and recall via electrophysiology and imaging from behaving animals.
Apply for this position to become part of our research environment and take the next step in your career with us.
Your immediate leader will be professor Clifford George Kentros.
