You will work on reducing the tire wear and emissions from tire wear in the form of respirable particles and microplastics. The project is a collaborative project between KTH, Karolinska Institutet and the Swedish Automotive Industry. The tasks include being responsible for and carrying out experimental studies in the laboratory and in full scale of tire and road wear. Qualifications

Requirements

• A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
• We would like you to have experience in experimental work, especially tribological material, component and full-scale testing.
• You have experience in measuring wear-generated airborne particles

Preferred qualifications

• A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline 
• experience in measuring wear, friction and airborne particles in parallel.
• experience in using impactors to collect particle emissions on filters and to analyze the chemistry of the airborne particles
• experience in chemical mass balance analysis of airborne particles
• can communicate scientific results orally and in writing in Swedish and English since we use both languages as our work language.
• We would like you to have the ability to work independently and in groups with others both in the laboratory and in full-scale trials on various test tracks in Sweden.
• Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality
• Research expertise
  Great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.

About the employment
