The Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (chair: Prof. Alexander Huber) provides clinical services related to ear, nose and throat. The department performs researches on basic sciences and clinical application of ear, nose and throat, as well.

Your responsibiities

You will work on research projects with focus on questions related to the stapedial annular ligament in correlation with middle-ear mechanics in normal and surgically reconstructed ears. You will perform experiments with cadaveric temporal bones, postoperative follow-up of patients with middle-ear implants, and simulation of computational middle-ear models. You will write a dissertation, consisting of research papers suitable for publication in peer-reviewed journals and are expected to present your research at international conferences. You get the opportunity to participate in the PhD program Clinical Science and to be involved in teaching.

Your profile

You have gained a Master’s degree in Medicine with excellent grades. You have very good language skills in English and basic language skills in German plus the motivation to improve. We expect a self-dependent personality with a strong interest in clinical research, who shows extraordinary initiative and motivation. We are looking for a team player.
